Amazing Leaving Cert results 2018

Analysis of Leaving Cert results 2018: • 75% of the class got 400 plus points • 60% of the class got 450 plus points • 30% of the class got 520 plus points • 1 student got the maximum of points on offer 625 – H1 in Physics, Chemistry, D.C.G., Irish, French & Maths (Including bonus points of 25). • Gaeilge – 78% of higher level class got a H1 or H2 i.e. 100 points or 88 points • Ag. Science – 100% of the class got a H2 i.e. 88 points • Home Economics – 70% of higher level students got a H1 or H2 i.e. 100 points or 88 points • Geography – 75% of higher level students got a H1 or H2 i.e. 100 points or 88 points • Physics – 50% of the class got a H1 i.e. 100 points • English – 40% of our higher level students got a H1 or H2 – 100 points or 88 points • Maths – 37.5% of our higher level students got a H1 or H2 – 100 points or 88 points • Chemistry – 42% of class got a H1 or H2 – 100 points or 88 points • Biology – 46% of our higher level students got a H1 or H2 – 100 points or 88 points • Construction – 83% of students got a H1 or H2 – 100 points or 88 points • Business – 44% of higher level students got a H1 or H2 • D.C.G. – 50% of students got a H1 – 100 points • French – 30% of higher level students got a H1 or H2

Zach Overy named 6th year student of the year 2016

Well done to Zach Overy of Upper Teer, Brandon, Co. Kerry who won the Gradam Uí Mhaolchatha for 2016. Zach is the proud son of Gina and Glen Overy and is pictured above with his sister Poppy and mother Gina. Zach has been a model student during his time in Meán Scoil and was described by Principal Aodán Mac Gearailt as a very independently minded individual with huge talent and initiative.
