+ Religion is not examined at Junior Cert level in our school *S.P.H.E., C.S.P.E.,P.E. and Career Guidance will make up one subject called ‘Well-being’ for all first year students entering our school in September 2017 pending agreement from the teacher Union A.S.T.I. **All first year students will do ‘taster’ courses in Business, Technical Graphics, Home Economics and Woodwork. After these ‘taster’ courses students will have to decide between Woodwork or Home Economics and also between Business or Technical Graphics. ***Art is optional for all students in our school and takes place every Wednesday from 2.00 – 4.00. The Junior Cert art syllabus is taught by a fully qualified Art teacher Ms. Rebekah Wall and all students complete the Junior Cert Art exam at the end of 3rd year. Short Courses: We offer 2 short courses to Junior Certificate students in our school.
Course 1: Digital Media and Literacy

These courses are optional to students from 1
st to 3
rd year and are taught by a fully qualified I.T. teacher Mr. Huw Roberts every Thursday from 4.30 – 6.00. 2 short courses count as one full subject. Students can do up to 10 subjects for their Junior Cert.
